War Without Tears

Death, smoke and flame ravage the city. The hum becomes the roar the further my mission deepens into the heart. Streets barely recognizable and black smouldering bodies strewn amoung the flame licked debris. Sweat. Soot. Had I not a heart beat I would have blended in perfectly. Through the black I make out an alley lacking the demon's glow. Approach. Exhale. Nothing but sand, soot and stone. Cooler than the inferno infested streets beating my back. The beasts should have departed, but I'm ever cautious. There. Down a narrow passage between stone walls. Beyond the massacred tavern and over the hanging lines suggesting that life once dwelt here. Towers. Peaks. A window. These charred corpses might have at one time fled from the dragons throat. I'm driving for it. Equipt with my confidence and fueled by a promise. Feet, don't fail me now.

I really wanted to put a little chunk of writing in with this one but I couldn't find anything that related enough so I whipped this up at the last second here. I hope it makes sense. Then again I hope it doesn't,. Erm, I felt really guilty about my last pic, I'd rushed it and it just wasn't up to snuff with what I need to feel proud of something. So I pulled this together in two days to redeem myself. Mostly to myself. I wanted to make it really detailed, which is hard to do with link because he isn't really that detailed otherwise I would have had to slap myself again. I have stared at this for hours on end so I won't be surprized if soemone metions something that looks weird. Like the angle of his face there...took me friggin forever to make him not look like a- well I won't say cuz he still kinda does. Anyway, I had fun with the fire adn I cheated with the stone wall. Bet no one can guess how. XD
